Sae in Project Egoist
Dribble frames, a real curve, and a pass that still counts as ego.
Sae is the Legendary you should hope for if you like playing with humans. He can score. He can also make a random Isagi look like a plan. That is why he sits in A or S depending on whether the writer values lonely carry or actual 6v6.
Kit
Curve Shot (Z). A heavy bend. Learn the default curve direction in a quiet pitch. Far-post looks are the point. Near-post spam is how keepers farm you.
Magic Turn (X). The dribble. Spin, carry, i-frames, and public guides mention a second charge. This is why Sae is the beginner Legendary. Use it when a slide is committed, not as a travel emote.
Perfect Pass (C). A pass that wants a teammate in your look. It is not a clearance. If you are truly alone, you still have Curve and Flow.
Flow (V). Cross Elastico in several writeups: beat a man, then a heavy shot. Other descriptions show a steal cinematic. Learn your variant in a custom touch session so you do not waste the Flow bar on a throw-in.
How he plays
Receive, Magic Turn the first commit, then either Curve or pass. You are allowed to be the second scorer. Project Egoist is about ego, not about ignoring C.
He loses raw shot speed arguments to Kaiser and sometimes Rin. He wins the “I can live through a slide” argument against both if you actually press Magic Turn.
When not to force him
If your entire friend group already queued as passers, maybe you wanted a box kit. If you refuse to pass on principle, play Kaiser and stop lying to the Perfect Pass button.
How to get him
Legendary banner rate. Same 500 / 5,000 Yen rules as everyone else. How to get Styles and the odds tool apply. Do not buy Robux because a thumbnail said Sae is mandatory. Isagi still teaches the pitch.
Pair him with how to dribble so Magic Turn is not your only idea. Pair him with how to score so Curve is not a midfield firework.
If your randoms never look up, Perfect Pass will feel broken. Ping the map, request with T, then pass anyway. Sae is a kit that rewards people who still type in chat. That is not a weakness. That is why he is the Legendary you keep after the reroll urge dies.
Spend a session where you refuse to shoot until you have used Magic Turn once and Perfect Pass once. You will lose a match and learn the kit. Then add Curve as the third action. That order stops Sae from becoming a worse Kaiser with extra buttons you never press.
If you rolled Sae and still only shoot, you bought a pass kit and ignored the pass. Force one Perfect Pass on every attack for a full night of matches. Your goals might drop. Your win rate might not. That is the friendly Legendary doing the job on the card.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is Sae better than Kaiser?
Sae is better at surviving and passing. Kaiser is better at lonely shots. Pick the job you want.
Does Magic Turn have i-frames?
Yes in public guides. That is the reason he is the friendly Legendary.
Does Perfect Pass work without a teammate?
It wants a target. If you are isolated, use Curve or Flow instead of hoping for a ghost.
Should I roll for Sae on purpose?
If the banner features him and you like team play, yes. Otherwise take whoever you get and learn the kit.
Can Sae play striker?
Yes. Curve and Flow score. He is just allowed to pass without failing the fantasy.
Is Sae bad in solo queue?
He is quieter, not bad. Curve and Magic Turn still work when randoms ignore the pass.
