How to Keep in Project Egoist

Cut the lane first. Dive second. Do not Super Dash the six-yard box.

Goalkeeper Guide

Most Project Egoist clips are strikers. Most losses are keepers who Super Dash at a feint. This guide is the other job in a 6v6. Official Trello even keeps a goalkeeper section. We translate that into habits you can use tonight.

The job

You are not a third center back who happens to wear gloves. You cut the near post, you hold the extra step, and you throw to a color that is actually free. A weak throw is a counter. The expired code WEAKGKTHROW existed because the community already knew this failure mode. Do not recreate it live.

Stand off your line enough to shrink Kaiser Impact and Bachira cuts, not so far that a chip becomes a highlight. If you only ever hug the net, every Magnus looks heroic. If you only ever rush, every fake volley looks like Nagi.

Tools that help a keeper

Nagi’s Control is the public reason people park him in goal. An aerial ball near you can become yours. That does not make every other Style illegal in net. Isagi Off-Ball Movement still closes a rebound. A patient body with good hands beats a flashy kit that cannot see the near post.

Headers matter. A QoL window raised the max header chain to five. That is a clearance tool, not a license to win every air ball. Time the jump. Do not mash.

Steal (E) is for the stray touch in front of you, not for a midfield hunt. If you leave the box to be a hero, your net is empty and Shidou is already smiling.

What will get you scored on

Super Dash has no i-frames. R through a striker in your own six is how montages start. Q i-frames are for carriers, not for a keeper who panicked. Flow V is almost never a keeper answer; spend the bar only if your kit has a real reclaim and the ball is already lost.

Do not throw to the nearest teammate if two red kits are on him. Look for Sae or a wide Kurona run. A throw into pressure is a second shot for them.

Do not dive the first step of a winger. How to score tells strikers to drag you. Believe them. Hold, then move.

Settings and binds

Keepers need camera and sensitivity more than strikers. The Shidou-era patch added camera sensitivity and console rebinds. Use them. If your dive button sits under sprint, you will dash when you meant to catch. The controls guide and the cheatsheet list the defaults. Rebind before you queue ranked pride.

Mobile keepers should enlarge the catch and throw buttons in Settings. A covered shoot button is funny on a striker. It is fatal on a keeper.

Practice

Play one night as keeper on purpose. Count how many goals were a bad throw, a rushed line, or a Super Dash. That list is your homework. Then read how to dribble so you stop sliding your own rebound into the net.

When a patch mentions GK, read updates and Trello, not a Rivals guide. Different games. Different throws.

If your team flames you after one Magnus, mute and keep the next five. A keeper who stays is worth more than a striker who rage-swaps after one save they did not like. That is the whole position.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the best Project Egoist Style for goalkeeper?

Nagi is the public pick because Control can eat air balls. A calm Isagi still works if you hold the line.

Should keepers Super Dash?

Almost never in the box. Super Dash has no i-frames and turns a feint into a goal.

Why do my throws become counters?

You threw into pressure. Look for a free color, not the nearest teammate.

Did a patch change heading?

A QoL window raised the header limit to five. Time jumps. Do not mash.
